Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information randomazegame.com ("Randomaze", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Randomaze is a free game paid for by advertising. You can play without an account, and we collect as little as we can.
If you play without signing in
We do not keep any account or game records about you. Your game runs entirely in your browser.
- The game stores one cookie on your device, named
settings, which remembers your sound and volume choices. It is not sent to any other website. - Like almost every website, our hosting provider receives the technical details your browser sends with each request (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) and may keep them for a short time in its logs to run and protect the service.
- Advertising partners may set their own cookies, as explained under Advertising below.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional. It lets the game save your results. When you sign in, Google tells us:
- your Google account ID (a number that identifies your account to us),
- your name and first name, and
- your email address, if Google has verified it.
We never see your Google password. We store this information together with your game data:
- the result of each maze you solve (the maze size, the date, its size in cells and your number of moves),
- your running totals, from which your scores are calculated, and
- your game settings.
- If you choose to join the daily leaderboard (it is off unless you turn it on in Settings): the name you pick to show, and the time and number of moves of your first solve of each maze. These are shown publicly on the leaderboard for about a week. We also look at the timing of your moves to spot automated play, and keep a short record of whether your recent games looked automated. Turning the leaderboard off in Settings removes your name from every board straight away.
While you are signed in, a cookie named login on your device keeps you signed in. Your account data is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States.
We use this information only to run your account: to show your history and scores, keep you signed in, and contact you by email about your account or about a suspected breach of our Terms of Use. We do not send marketing email.
If you use the Contact form
When you send a message from the Contact page, we receive the name (if you give one), the email address and the message you type.
- We email a short receipt to that address, using Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). The receipt does not repeat your message.
- If the receipt is delivered, your message is forwarded to the site owner's inbox so it can be answered. If it bounces, your message is discarded.
- While it waits for the receipt, your message is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States. If the receipt is not delivered within 24 hours, the message is dropped. Once your message is forwarded or dropped, the stored copy is erased. The forwarded copy, and any replies you exchange by email, stay in those inboxes.
- To prevent abuse, we count messages per internet address and per email address. These counters store only a one-way scrambled code (a hash), never the address itself, and are deleted after a day or two.
We use what you send only to answer you. We never add you to a mailing list.
Advertising
Randomaze shows ads from Google AdSense to pay for running the site. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technology to show ads and to measure them:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe).
- If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before ads use cookies or personal data in ways that require it, and you can change your choice at any time.
We do not give advertisers your name, email address or game history. The only information advertising partners receive about you is what their own cookies and technology collect.
Analytics
We do not use analytics to track how you use the site. If we ever add it, it will only apply to signed-in players who turn it on in their settings.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the site (Google for sign-in, Amazon Web Services for storing account data and sending Contact form email, Render for hosting the website), with advertising partners as described above, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept until you delete your account. Your history keeps your last 10 days of results for each maze size; your running totals are kept for as long as your account exists.
Your choices
- Delete your account. Sign in, press Delete Account on the main menu and confirm. This deletes your account, your game data and your saved sign-ins, and signs you out everywhere. It cannot be undone.
- Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The game still works, but it will not remember your sound settings or keep you signed in.
- Personalized ads. Use the links in Advertising above.
- Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your personal information, such as the right to see it or have it corrected. Contact us and we will help.
Children
Randomaze is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed in, delete the account as described above or contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
